PORTFOLIO
1979 Yamaha XS 650 Bobber
Starting with a box of parts, a seized motor and a rusty old frame, we turned his parts bike into a one of a kind Yamaha XS 650 Bobber.

1975 Yamaha XS 650 Cafe’ Racer
This project start from just a frame with a motor in it and has progressed into a complete ground up restoration. We rebuilt and replaced all bearings, seals and bushings, rebuilt the engine and re-laced the wheels. We installed larger forks, progressive suspension front and rear and a dual disc front brake system. To finish it off we installed new pipes, tank seat and had it painted at Toxic Art in Frederick, MD.

1978 Kawasaki Z1R
Brought to us by it’s original owner, this Kawasaki Z1R had been almost used up, it was neglected just well used. We rebuilt the carburetors, rebuilt the top end of the engine, put in new wheel bearings and installed a new chain and sprockets. We polished the engine covers and we painted and repaired the body work. Over all this was a great build.

1986 SUZUKI GSXR 750
Purchased as a personal ride, Chuck hunted the parts for this 1986 Suzuki GSXR 750 for years. Building it from the ground as it had been ridden hard and put to bed wet, the entire motorcycle needed to be rebuilt.
We first disassembled the entire motorcycle, taking it down to the frame. We removed all swingarm bushings and steering head bearings. After removing all grease and road grim we polished the frame and swingarm to a brushed aluminum look then clear coated the polished finish, installed new bearings & bushings and prepped the frame for the motor.
With 52,000 miles the engine was shot, we rebuilt the top end and adjusted the valves and painted the head & cylinders. We cleaned the flat slide Mikuni Carburetors and installed K&N pod air filters. The pipe was crushed from an accident so we installed a Yoshimura exhaust pipe & silencer. We painted the wheels to match the body work, installed new wheel bearings & brakes. The forks were kind of twisted, tubes and legs needed to be replaced. We polished the forks and clear coated them, installed the forks, wheels and new bridgestone tires.
After final assembly and installation of body work, we were ready for track days. The GSXR made four track days with Roger Lyle’s Motorcycle Excitement Track Days. Turning out four great days was awsome, we had one lackluster day the last time but, hey you can’t win them all right.
Over all this turned out to be a great build and a satisfying motorcycle.
